2009 is the 8th consecutive year that St. John's has held its Community Outreach Benefit and preliminary indications are we have raised over $40,000 for this year's four recipient families: Michelle Bangham, Keith Donnelly, the late Jack Luvender and Ben Rabenold. In the previous seven years we have raised over $229,000 to help 20 area families struggling financially because of medical conditions. On behalf of the entire COB team, Nancy Carr expresses her thanks to all our community partners and volunteers who have helped make this effort so successful. Even though St. Johns is an average-sized UCC church, we are in the top 10% in terms of total mission giving.
